A. E. here with a special big announcement, and a reveal on something I’ve been sitting on for months actually.
The Other Side audio-book was released Friday, May 6th and is currently available to purchase on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes.
Now in case I have any new readers who don’t know much about my book, here’s a quick summary of my debut novel, The Other Side that was released on paperback in September of 2018.
The Other Side is a young adult Christian fantasy about Jaxon “Xon” Reeves, a Black Christian teen who is turned into a werewolf. Now that Xon is not human, but a shifter, he is apart of the shifter world, and he must learn how to deal with his new wolf side, and fight with his own faith as a child of God.
The audio-book is narrated by Preston Tate Jr. who’s done a fantastic job. He’s an award-winning member of SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) and AEA (Actors Equity Association) who has over 14 years experience, he has a very versatile range of performance and he greatly achieves entertainment factor and he’s so satisfying to listen to.
It took 10 months of production, with Preston re-reading and recording the book three times before it was in its final form and ready to be released. Everyone, please, go and get a copy! If you don’t have time to read a physical copy, then you can really listen to the audio-book while driving, doing the laundry, cleaning, exercising, whatever! It’ll be worth it!
If you guys do get a paperback, e-book or audio-book, drop a review in the comments. Amazon likes reviews, and pushes books with more reviews higher up in the suggestions and in search results. Also, let me know what you think!
I started The Other Side in 2011, and published it in 2018. It’s my first completed novel, and while a part of me feels embarrassed by it, the rest of me is very pleased and proud of myself that I actually did it, I accomplished my dream, and published a novel.
And well, now that the audio-book is out…this means The Other Side is finally over. Paperback, e-book and audio-book formats are completed, so its done. Finished.
I can move onto my next book now. One chapter closed, and the next chapter is opening.
I’ll talk more about how the Emmy Bell series is going another time, and my next post should be an A. E. Reads book review.
And a quick update, my finger is fine! I’m typing like normal and using it like normal. I’ll should make a post about how I broke it, since that’s a story in itself, as it was also the very first time I’ve broken a bone!
Well, until next time!
