A. E. Costello is originally from Long Island, New York, and now resides in Georgia. She has been writing since childhood, penned and illustrated three children’s books at age ten. She is currently an undergrad student pursuing an English degree at University of West Georgia where she was taught by Professor Stacy Boyd, author of Black Men Worshipping: Intersecting Anxieties of Race, Gender, and Christian Embodiment and who taught her about black speculative fiction, the genre she aims for. She lives with her cat Aomine who keeps her company while she writes by bathing her toes and grooming her hair. The Other Side is AEC’s first novel.
